Good Textures

This is the latest development for Good Textures a website which offers royalty free, free images. The site is aimed at the graphic design industry professionals, especially in the game design sector where they tend to require a lot of textural imagery. Simon Murray who is the founder of the website is himself in the games development industry and set this up initially to manage his own library of free images. Since the first version we built for Simon over 10 years ago, there has been a lot of interest and users signing up for the free service. This has now become a site with over 100k visits per month and it has been opened up after the latest re-build to allow any user to upload his or her own textures for others to share. When it comes to free images at hi resolution, there are plenty of takers. With the traffic rising daily, the Google ads installed to raise funds will at least earn some money to cover his costs and most likely make a good profit going forward.

The system also boasts of image information which is captured by the system automatically as the images are uploaded, The information includes focal length, aperture, ISO and shutter speed as well as Camera type. Users can download any number of images which have all been tagged with keywords to make searching for items easy.

The level of work we put in to create a new system for Good Textures was phenomenal. The site supports all mobile and tablet devices and has a caching system to make the site load the large images very quickly. Simon was over the moon with the end result and the price he paid. Initially Simon thought he would have to get some investors onboard, but we surprised him with what was a very reasonable price for such a unique and functional system. Simon remains one of our oldest and now the happiest customer we have ever had.

My experiences with Webdezign have been exemplary. They are very professional, friendly and have lots of ideas and experience regarding web design (no pun intended) I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting a professional looking website.
