We are not quite sure how you lost them in the first place but Mike managed to do so. So we thought someone else might misplace them and need some help. This is how you setup default search in Chrome.
Now that is not such a big thing we thought and decided to manage > add search engine. Only to get a slightly confusing box.
URL must be google.co.uk right, or www.google.co.uk, http://www.google.co.uk still no OK button. Maybe we need Name: Google… still no OK button. Well we all agreed we didn’t want a keyword, why would we want to preset a search? Anyway, after much deliberation we decided to look at another computer with chrome and found the solution. But everyone might not have 8 computers with chrome installed at hand so here you go.
Default search in Chrome
Name: Ask Jeeves
Name: Yahoo! UK & Ireland
We hope this will help some poor soul from pulling his hair out. And if you have non UK specific ones at hand feel free to post them in the comments and we will add them to the list.
